I learned that to be a great portrait photographer, I need to be able to keep it simple. I also need to have great lighting that can reflect off of the model so the picture can come out decent or maybe even perfect. One last thing I need to do to be able to have great portraits is breaking the rules of composition, even though they are rules they need to be broken because to become a great portrait photographer you have to have your own rules to follow

The cropped photo illustrates lines and a view point rule of composition because it shows that repetition has a massive impact on the composition. So the effect is that it has a message that the photo conveys.
